My wife, Amber, and I live in Ankeny, Iowa. We are excitedly awaiting the arrival of our first child that is due toward the end of March of next year. We both enjoy music and being outside. Much of my spare time is spent juggling or working in my home woodshop.

Graphic arts and printed media has been a part of my life from my early childhood. During those early years and through high school, my mother had a printing press in our basement. I learned how to run a press and make simple designs for print over the years. Gradually, I moved from helping her with print runs to designing letterhead, business cards, and various other projects.

While in my sophomore year in high school, I started to learn Adobe Photoshop. This great tool expanded my design creativity. It was during my senior year of high school that I took a class in Desktop Publishing, which was my first formal training in elements of design. In 2004, I finished my AAS Degree in Graphic Arts from Des Moines Area Community College.

Since 2003, I have worked for Abramowitz Creative Studios in Ankeny, Iowa. During my time with ACS, I have expanded my abilities to include web design, illustration, and photography. I have been a contributing designer, illustrator, and photographer for more than 40 projects for Meredith Corporation. The projects have included work for The Home Depot, Stanley, Better Homes & Gardens, Ortho, Mattel, and Marvel.

My goals for the near future include improving my skills as a Javascript and Applescript programmer.  Also, I would like to develop my abilities as a photographer.
